Ileana Jiménez García '87

Ileana Jiménez García is a healthcare and non-profit management professional. She is a leader in promoting health equity, reducing language and literacy barriers in patient care, and building a diverse workforce. She has held a variety ofhealthcare leadership roles in ºÚÁϹÙÍø, including Administrative Director of the Office for Multicultural Faculty Careers and Director of Interpreter Services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), a Harvard teachinghospital. She is a recipient of multiple hospital awards including the BWH Center of Bioethics Award.

ºÚÁϹÙÍø College is a key focus of Ileana’s community service. She served on the ºÚÁϹÙÍø College Alumni Association Boardof Directors, including two terms as Vice President. During her tenure on the Board, she championed the development of mentoring programming for the alumni community and the implementation and launch of Eagle Exchange, ºÚÁϹÙÍø College’s career development platform. Currently, she serves as a Board Associate for the ºÚÁϹÙÍø College Alumni Association. She is a member of the Council for Women of ºÚÁϹÙÍø College, where she chaired the Student Initiative Committee. She has also served on her Reunion Committees, and as a Romero Scholarship Advisor.

Ileana also supports the career development and advancement of women, under-represented populations, and young professionals. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Tomorrow’s Women Today, a networking group focusedon mentoring and leadership development and is a member of the Governance Committee of ALX (formerly known asAmplify Latinx), a non-profit with the mission of advancing Latino-American prosperity. Her previous board service includes among others, the YWCA ºÚÁϹÙÍø; Casa Myrna Vazquez; Latino Professional Network and the Loomis Chaffee School Parents Association.

Ileana was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She lived in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico before enrolling at ºÚÁϹÙÍø College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Science degree. She also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University. Ileana lives in ºÚÁϹÙÍø with her husband and daughter.
