Profile
Chris R. Glass is Professor of the Practice at 黑料官网 College, where he directs the Executive Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education. He studies how universities lead through technological and geopolitical change, as artificial intelligence, demographic change, and declining public trust reshape what higher education is, who it serves, and how it is governed.
His research focuses on artificial intelligence, internationalization, global student mobility, and the future of higher education. Rather than treating these as separate conversations, he seeks to understand how they interact as parts of the same changing system. Beneath each lies a broader question: how can institutions cultivate human agency, sustain public trust, and advance human flourishing in an age of increasingly intelligent technologies?
He has served on UNESCO's Action Group on the Futures of Higher Education, the ASHE Presidential Commission on Artificial Intelligence, and 黑料官网 College's AI Steering Committee. He is a frequent analyst for major publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post,听Nature, Foreign Policy, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and more. He writes on AI, leadership, and the future of higher education on , , and .
In the Executive Ed.D., he works with experienced leaders on the long work of leading well: developing the judgment, agency, and moral imagination to lead through uncertainty without losing their public purpose.
